SYNOPSIS

A behind the scenes look at the making of the fourth film in the groundbreaking Blood Signal franchise, in which the filmmakers attempt to once again break new ground in the horror genre.

After four sequels, Torbin Ceskareaux is prepared to make horror movie history with the latest installment of his legendary “Blood Signal” franchise. With the full support of his studio and its CEO, Cordula Maelstrom, along with the begrudging participation of longtime franchise actors Lars Bronder and Farrah Dutch, Torbin plans to explore the final frontier in horror filmmaking: actual murder. The search begins for an actor who is willing to give their life for cinema, but the question remains: when the time comes to swing the knife, will everyone be prepared for the consequences?

DIRECTOR STATEMENT
“Behind the Signal” came from an idea I had almost a decade ago, and I was happy to finally find a place for it when our team pulled “mockumentary” out of a hat as our genre for this year’s 48 Hour Film Project. It was a true team effort with our talented cast expanding our thin outline with their creativity, filling out their characters from names to backstories. Attempting to make an almost entirely improvised film should’ve been far more daunting of a task, but everyone was game and came ready to be creative, making “Behind the Signal” one of the most fun experiences we’ve ever had making a short. Hopefully, that fun shows through the short, and we hope everyone enjoys “Behind the Signal: The Making of Blood Signal 4G”!
