GLASSROOM COMPANY is a queer-led, artist-run platform for bold storytelling, cultural commentary, and industry innovation — producing theatre, film, digital content, and unapologetic queer joy. Founded in 2017 in Adelaide by actor and producer Jack Calver (while still in high school), Glassroom began as a theatre company — debuting with Clanstow at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe to sold-out audiences, followed by Blackrock in 2019. After a three-year hiatus, Glassroom relaunched in 2023 in Sydney with Unfair Verona at the Sydney Dance Company to rave reviews, before returning to its hometown roots in 2024 with a season at The Mill in Adelaide. In 2025, the company expanded into film and digital media — producing short films (Compulsion, sex ed ft. Sabrina Carpenter), launching the AI Hot Seat interview series, and introducing Glassroom Reviews for critiques on local theatre productions. Online, Glassroom is a hub for actors and creatives: posting four weekly with industry advice, memes, inspiration, and irreverent insights — built around a mission to empower queer voices and set new standards in performance, visuals, and storytelling. With a focus on excellence, identity, and liberation, Glassroom proves that artists can lead, own, and elevate culture.
