Monster Design: There was one very lovely moment of the smiley creature with teeth.
Monster Originality: The monster seemed to have a hidden talent of making sure people always fell when they ran...
Monster Interaction: Certainly a man in suit. Very human.
Monster Fear Factor: Overused jump scare features. Became slow and sloppy.

Practical Effects: Really enjoyed the transformation of shapeshifting but the rest was hokey.
CGI/Animation: Really nothing to write home about.
FX Makeup: There was a fair amount in here that was pleasing. Not terribly unique though.

Story: I feel like the lead up in the story fell away in it's mystique
Characters: Stereotype tropes loosing out on opportunities for depth.
Dialogue: JUST could not get over douchy language of the one guy.

I really wanted this movie to be good. I really did. A strong idea but not a particularly strong execution. The creature had a few moments of jump outs that got me but after the 3rd or 4th time, nothing really seemed effective.
