Some really nice moments of good scares and action, also some top notch make ups and well executed practical effects. The Discarnate "smiling Man" looked really good but only every couple times we saw it. It was kind of a 50 50 shot. Sometimes it looked a whole lot like a creature actor draped in dirty toilet paper. Even that I can excuse to a point though. What kept this film from being a high pointer for me was pacing. The core idea I think had promise, but it was so over written and saturated with expose and unneeded characters that the whole thing came across as boring and confused.
