PRESENTS

Huge budget makes for a fun watch. the creature has some unique elements, but nothing tootally unseen before. the pacing dragged for me only because so much played out in the POV shots of murky, dark water. The CGI is amazing. I would always prefer some practical effects and anamatronics to computer animation, but the CGI in this movie was really cool and looked really natural. the characters were a little flat for me. the only one thats actually enjoyable they kill off early and it was hard to root for the main hero because i thought she was annoying, which certainly weakend the resolution. all in all, it was a super fun watch, lots of sweet explosions and big budget stuff, could have done with a little more depth.
