DIRECTOR STATEMENT
With "Almost there" I wanted to honor the concept of a "short film." This story is told in a short and shocking period of time. In two minutes, it shows a disturbing situation that a woman can face in her living room.

DIRECTOR BIO
Alberto Maizón is a student of Audiovisual Communication + Advertising and Public Relations, specialized in horror films. He has directed two short films: "Hello", a drama that reflects on society, addressing addiction to new technologies; and "Almost there", a "home invasion" where a young woman will experience the consequences of the recent escape of one of the most dangerous killers in Valencia.

In addition, Maizón has ventured into the field of podcasting with "Satán es cinefilo", a program that analyzes "underground" horror cinema, and which has had the participation of international collaborators. Likewise, he had the honor of being a young jury at the prestigious "Cinema Jove" festival during 2021.
