DIRECTOR STATEMENT
The idea for "It Lurks in the Shadows" began as a reoccurring nightmare. Every night for about a week, I dreamt of something lurking in the corner of my room. This humanoid creature hated the light and watched from a distance, waiting for the right moment. I knew this creature needed to be brought to life, so after weeks of hard work from an incredibly talented cast and crew, The story of The Night Skulk was born.

DIRECTOR BIO
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico; John's love for film started at a young age watching films like Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Spider-Man (2002). Upon graduating High School, John enlisted in the military, but realized he wanted to pursue a career in film. After separating in 2021, he begun his filmmaking journey, directing several award winning short films including "Happy Anniversary" (2022) and "On the Rocks" (2023)
