DIRECTOR STATEMENT
I wanted to make a Christmas movie that I have not seen before. I took all of the things I love about Christmas and twisted the typical narrative into my own voice.

DIRECTOR BIO
Riley Walton Thomas is a filmmaker from Long Island, NY. Riley is a Writer, Director, and Actor. He also dabbles in Set Design, Sound, and Editing if duty calls. Riley is currently in his Senior year at the School of Visual Arts. He is focusing on studying directing and writing for screenplays for both television and feature films. At his time so far at Sva, Riley has written and directed thirteen short films.

Riley is about to finish writing his first feature film. A story about a reject kid who finds a frozen pirate walking home from school, together they battle bullies and the struggles of a freshman in highschool. He is currently working on writing a feature with Patrick Keenan and Victor Barsotti “Knock in the Konk”, a dramatic film with song about a backstreet boy falling in love with a rich girl after graduating highschool, together they escape their godforsaken hometown of Ronkonkoma, NY.

Riley is a Writer/ Director. He has written and directed films such as “Old St.Nick” (2023) and “Ten Toes Down” (2022). Riley has also directed shorts such as “My Deflated Heart” (2022), “The Commack Motor Inn” (2021), “Rats, Remnants and Roadkill” (2021), “Wake up sheep (2020).

Riley also has a passion for Acting. He has been acting since he was a child. At his time at Sva he has acted in most of his own films and in several class assignments. Riley has also filled roles for his classmates' films. Such as “Spaghetti Skirmish” (2022), “Ten Toes Down” (2022), “My Deflated Heart” (2022), “Non Endearing Gestures” (2022), “Love Thy NeighBEER” (2022), “Slasher” (2021), “Say Cheese and Die” (2021), “The Commack Motor Inn” (2021), “Chick fil a Mobbin” (2021), “Inflatable Love” (2017).
