SYNOPSIS
A psychological horror about the violence of revenge porn, drug dependence, and the impossibility of escaping your own reflection — the one that haunts you with the mistakes of your past.
After intimate photos of her are leaked online, nineteen-year-old Laila locks herself inside her home, suffocated by shame and endless notifications. She gets ready for a party, clinging to her medication to feel “normal,” but reality begins to distort as her guilt takes shape. The face in the mirror is no longer her own. Until, in an act of desperation, Laila tries to reclaim herself.
DIRECTOR BIO
Alessandro Serafino (Manfredonia, Puglia, 1996) è un regista italiano con una formazione umanistica e una profonda passione per il genere horror. Dopo il diploma al liceo classico, ha conseguito la laurea in Lettere, Arti, Musica e Spettacolo, dedicando la sua tesi a George A. Romero, figura che ha influenzato in modo decisivo il suo immaginario cinematografico.
La sua ricerca artistica unisce sensibilità, attenzione per la costruzione dell’immagine e uno sguardo critico sulla cultura contemporanea. Il suo lavoro esplora atmosfere, simboli e narrazioni che riflettono le realtà del cinema di genere, reinterpretandole in chiave personale.
