DIRECTOR STATEMENT
I am a man who was born and raised in movie houses in Detroit, Michigan. Every week at an early age, my great aunt, mother, and grandmother would take me to the movies. The stories from their account are what I would like on posters in the newspaper (Yes, I am aging myself), and pick the movie of the week for us to go see. I saw films that shouldn't have seen like The Boston Strangler for example, but I also developed an intent of what I always wanted to do, make films.
Cinema is life to me and every day it must be consumed. It encourages and motivates me. I hope those who read my statement feel the same way. I am a filmmaker who knows what he wants and how to achieve it. I love to create. It's a fantastic and nerve-wracking sensation but once you start, it's impossible to stop.
The short film REPEAT was inspired by the following feature & short film, Roman Polanski's Repulsion & Wim Wenders Same Player Shoots Again.
