MONSTER DESIGN - SO MANY
MONSTER FEAR FACTOR - Not really at all.
PRACTICAL EFFECTS - Fantastical and really well constructed.
FX MAKEUP - Lots of this too!!
CHARACTERS - split 50/50 with characters that live in the world and and characters that are beyond irritating.
DIALOGUE - cringey and weirdly all over the map

I rather liked this film. Funny, lots to look at, and a slew of exciting and fun critters. Where this movie lacks is in the overall acting. Really cringey at times but I often excused the poor acting for a stylistic choice? Maybe not. A fun Sunday night weird.
