PRESENTS

All in all this movie hits par for the Zombie genre, but certainly not above. There are these fleeting moments of nuance, but they just don't follow through with any of it. They hint ot the fact that the zombies my repeat old habits from before they were undead, but then we only see it happy once and it doesn't connect to the story at all. They hint to the fact that the zombies might fight amongst eachother, but it only happens the one time and doesn't connect to the story. The main character is fun. I love a bumbling idiot hero, but again it just wasn't really consistent. He had some smart moves, but then there were other times when you're ripping your hair out at how stupid he is. The worst thing for me was that it really dragged for the majority of the movie. Just slow. Lots of build with not enough pay off. Seems like if they had just focused on one of those little nuances to the Zombie theme and dropped all the tropey shit, they could have had a nice flick here, but instead we have another drop of undead blood in a mountian of brains and guts.
