Blood Glacier certainly treads the path carved by OG's of the genre, namely The Thing. Top notch acting and writing, plus a cast of characters that feel natural and familiar - including a performance form leading man Gerhard Liebmann that's reminiscent of Kurt Russell in all the right ways - keep it's admittedly old hat premise from feeling stale. Toss in some of the best practical creature effects i've seen in a minute and you've got one tasty little Bite Night that you won't regret diving into.
