Stale. Top to bottom. Characters are derived and shallow. The story has been done before and with much much more thought. The dialogue is hackneyed and the monster is plain and uninteresting. If you know that you're going go to all in on a fully CGI monster then you need to at least make it look cool. This movie just made a lizard, but slightly larger than normal. Just shallow.
