The effects are super high quality from the cgi to the practicals. Lots of really well done makeup and beautiful set design. The story is stale, though. It's another huanted house with the growing, creaking black spots on the walls. Gramma being possessed we've seen before. It's the same scary old lady tropes, even done as well as they are, that just make the movie seems lack luster. The ending was unsatisfying and a little confusing. The dialogue and acting were both stellar, but it was all tacked onto an old frame.
