PRESENTS

Really a perfect movie on all accounts.
"hey, Earl! here's some swiss cheese and some bullets" so good.
i really love the tone which is nice and even throughout.
the characters are great individually and the way they interact with eachother feels natural and fun.
great pacing. no room for boredom. nice balance of mystery and problem solving, fails and wins.
so heavy in practical effects through and through. Flexing floor boards, popping fence posts, pogo sticks getting sucked underground.
The little mouth tentacles are just a bit clunky as far as the makeup/movement, but the fabrication of the rest of the creature totally makes up for it.
bonus points for all the action playing out in broad daylight.
