Don't bother. The Seed is the kind of flick you put on because you think it's going to be so bad it's good, but after the first thirty minutes you realize it's got the bad part down and the upswing doesn't seem to be coming around. It's obvious that B-horror aficionado and director, Sam Walker, was going for that 80's throwback nostalgia hit to draw in and satisfy a certain cult following, but he, nor his cast of gravely amateurish talent, have the chops to pull it off. The film has all the shock value sex-gore and slime effects. It's got the absurdities and really really tries to inject some humor, but what it's lacking is heart. The movie has no soul, nothing to ground it. The Seed is a waste of time and something about the way it watches makes me feel like only a portion of the crew was paid.
